Zappz utilizes ultraviolet-C light,  which is known to kill microorganisms by disrupting their DNA, to neutralize odor and diminish bacteria. A 10-minute automatic cycle of UVC light is all you need to freshen up any pair of shoes you’ve got in your wardrobe.
How to Use Zappz:
Hold the ON/OFF power button for 3 seconds to activate the sanitization cycle. This starts the automatic 10-minute timer function.
Click the ON/OFF power button to turn off the power quickly.
Gently place the product into each shoe and allow the cycle to run fully.
After the automatic time cycle, remove from shoes and Zappz is complete.
Zappz Tips:
Zappz best affects bacteria and microorganisms that the ultraviolet light can reach- if bacteria is hidden deep into fibers that cannot be penetrated by UVC rays, optimal results may not be achieved. We recommend starting to use before the odor is generated so bacteria have no chance to get embedded deep into the material.
To enhance the sterilization and deodorization, try flipping the unit halfway through the cycle so ray distribution is balanced in the shoe.
If using sandals, place shoes in dark bags with the device to ensure full sanitization.
If shoes are an especially worn or synthetic material, feel free to run on another full cycle.
WARNING:
Do not expose your skin and eyes to UVC light for extended periods of time.
Caution- UV lamp is fragile and likely to break if it comes into contact with hard objects or collisions. Please handle with care when using.
Do not expose the unit to soap or water. To clean, wipe down the unit with a damp soft cloth and allow it to fully dry before using it.
