This set of Woodstock Zenergy Meditation Chimes & Mallet is made of ash wood with a cherry finish with two polished silver solid aluminum rods and a 5 inch mallet.
A bit of history from the website:
"Tibetan monks use small cymbals called tingsha, which are sounded to mark the beginning and end of
a period of meditation.  You can use your Zenergy Chimes in much the same way.  The two rods are
purposely tuned to nearly but not quite the same pitch.  When both are struck at the same time, you
will notice a distinct pulsation of approximately 12 beats per second. Sounds like this are often used in
meditation and healing, because they help us to focus, redirect our attention to the sounds within, and
relax and reenergize with good vibrations.
This Zenergy Chime includes a keyhole slot on the back so it can be installed upright on a door or
wall. The mallet handle slips in between the chime and the wood for safekeeping."
