    Description

Here you have a wonderful bit of VINTAGE HISTORICAL MEMORABILIA! Please...SEE THE SCAN!!! This is DISNEY ARTIST ROY WILLIAMS featured inside a complete 1941 edition of Reader's Digest Magazine. This 1–page feature is titled "INSIGNEER". Accompanying the photo of Williams is an explanation of his designing insignia for the army, navy and air units, introducing Walt Disney’s comic menagerie to Uncle Sam’s armed forces. His first design was a sketch of a mosquito clinging to a streaking torpedo—for the Navy’s new fleet of mosquito boats. For the Alaska Defense Forces he drew a laughing seal, balancing ADF on its nose… and more… This same section has a photo of the young actress LUCILLE BALL modeling for hairstylist MONSIEUR LOUIS who created Lucy's hair-do that was all the rage for 1941... The magazine is in fairly gently read condition. Not mint, but nice and a tough find!!! This is a great piece FOR THE COLLECTOR! Take it home with you! GOOD LUCK! Please Check Out My Ebay Store for more great memorabilia!!! I am happy to send this to any country. 1st class air postage will be charged… More excellent packaging and free shipping here in the United States! THANKS! 3103
