Here you have a Great Bit of Vintage COMIC STRIP MEMORABILIA! Please...SEE THE SCAN! This is comic art and comic strips effect on kids featured inside of a complete 1936 issue of LITERARY DIGEST Magazine! This issue has a wonderful artwork image of POPEYE and MICKEY MOUSE HOLDING HANDS, with the KATZENJAMMER KIDS and MOON MULLINS ABOVE. The images are made from cutouts of the characters’ comic strips… This issue includes the article "FUNNY STRIPS: CARTOON-DRAWING IS BIG BUSINESS; EFFECTS ON CHILDREN DEBATED". Nice two–page article! Here are the sub-headings: TRAGEDY (stories of kids acting out comic strip actions), VERDICT, HISTORY, VERSATILE, FASCISM (ORPHAN ANNIE!!) and COMMENTS. Nice illustrations: one of early comic-strip characters like THE YELLOW KID and BUSTER BROWN, THE NEWLYWEDS, PANHANDLE PETE, and BLACK BERRIES. The other is a self-portrait of RUBE GOLDBERG at his work table! This is a wonderful time capsule. It is in fine condition with some vintage corner and edge wear. It's not mint, but fairly gently read and a tough find! A great piece FOR THE COLLECTOR! Take it home with you! Winner, please add .00 for postage and wonderful packaging. GOOD LUCK! Please Check Out My Ebay Store for more great memorabilia! I am happy to send this to any country. 1st class international air postage will be charged… Please note that these vintage Magazines are fairly heavy. THANKS! 125512
