    BRAKE PROPORTIONING VALVE

    This is a valve used in Motorsport / modified vehicles to reduce the pressure to the rear brakes. When brake systems have been modified / uprated / mixed and matched or just that the car is being used on the track, it is common to find that the rear brakes lock up first when braking hard - with predictable results.
    This adjustable valve allows you to restore the brake balance and prevent rear lock up.
    Nearly all FWD race / track cars will require this valve. You can brake so much harder on a clean grippy track (even on road tyres), that the increased weight transfer to the front from harder braking will leave the rear wheels light and prone to locking up - most stock proportioning systems can't cope with track use.
    PROPORTIONING VALVES SHOULD BE FITTED WHEN:
    Rear brakes have been changed / uprated / not matched to front brakes - kit cars etc
    Rear discs have been fitted in place of drums - rs turbos, RWD Escorts etc
    All FWD race / track cars
    RWD cars with weak stock proportioning systems or with a lot of weight transfer.
    Any vehicle when the rear brakes lock up before the fronts
    Designed for Motorsport use. No instructions are included.
